10 GB total is one allowance for the package. 1 GB/day is a daily allowance. Check the reset rules and what happens after the allowance: slower data, extra charges or no connection.
When does validity start?
Installation and activation can be separate steps. Check whether the clock starts at purchase, installation or first connection. Choose enough valid days for your stay.
Where can you connect?
Check every country on your route and the networks listed for the exact package. A country in the coverage list does not guarantee a signal everywhere.
Will it work for your setup?
Check that your phone supports eSIM and is carrier-unlocked. If you need laptop data, verify hotspot permission. Confirm any calls, texts or phone number separately.

Choosing an eSIM for a trip across Europe
Write down every country on your itinerary and the days between your first and last stop. Compare a regional package with separate country plans using the total trip cost and the coverage you actually need.
Europe is a product name, not a country list
Check every stop in the exact package’s coverage details, including the UK, Switzerland or Turkey if they are on your route. Airalo currently lists a Europe product covering 41 countries and a separate European Union and United Kingdom product. Those names do not make all providers’ regional coverage identical.
Choose validity for the complete itinerary
For a two-week journey, filter for at least 14 days and check what starts the validity clock. More gigabytes do not extend an expiry date. If you buy separate plans, check the days needed in each country and add their package prices in the same currency. Confirm the final price and any taxes or discounts with the provider.
Check installation, activation and renewal
Airalo’s Europe page permits advance installation with a stable internet connection. It also describes optional renewals when a package has 10% of its data remaining. Read the selected package’s activation policy and any renewal setting before purchase; do not assume installation, first connection and payment all start the same clock.
Compare the same kind of data allowance
A daily allowance and a fixed allowance for the whole trip serve different usage patterns. Check the reset period and speed after the allowance in plan details. For laptop work, check hotspot permission separately and include calls, uploads and downloads in your data estimate.
